Similarity and Plagiarism Policy

OAIJMR screens submissions with similarity-detection tools and editorial review. A similarity percentage is a screening indicator, not an automatic verdict. Editors examine the location, nature, attribution, originality, and context of matching text.

Unacceptable Practices

• Verbatim or closely paraphrased text without appropriate citation or quotation.
• Use of another person’s data, figures, ideas, or methods without acknowledgment or permission.
• Self-plagiarism, redundant publication, salami publication, or reuse that obscures the relationship to earlier work.
• Fabricated citations, citation manipulation, or attempts to conceal copied material.

Editorial Response

Minor attribution problems may be returned for correction. Substantial or intentional plagiarism may result in rejection. Concerns in published articles are investigated using COPE guidance and may lead to correction, retraction, or notification of relevant institutions. Authors are given an opportunity to respond, and decisions are based on evidence rather than a single numerical threshold.
