Complaints and Appeals
Complaints and Appeals Policy
AMCR considers complaints about editorial procedures, reviewer conduct, publication ethics, conflicts of interest, corrections, or service, and appeals against editorial decisions when supported by substantive evidence.
How to Submit
Send a written complaint or appeal to editors.amcr@gmail.com with the manuscript or article identifier, a clear description, relevant evidence, and the requested remedy. Communications must be respectful and must protect confidential or patient information.
Handling and Independence
- Receipt is normally acknowledged within five working days.
- The matter is assigned to an editor or responsible person who was not solely responsible for the disputed decision whenever practicable.
- The journal may request records or responses from authors, reviewers, editors, or the publisher and will provide a reasoned written outcome.
- No person is disadvantaged for raising a concern in good faith.
Editorial Appeals
An appeal must identify a material factual, procedural, ethical, or interpretive error. Disagreement with reviewer opinion alone is insufficient. One reasoned appeal is considered; the appeal decision is final within the journal.
Escalation
Allegations of research misconduct may be referred to the relevant institution, funder, ethics committee, or other competent body. The journal follows applicable COPE guidance while preserving due process and confidentiality.
