Author Guidelines

Arkus accepts original research articles, case reports, narrative reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses within its multidisciplinary scope. Manuscripts must be original, not under consideration elsewhere, and prepared in clear academic English.

How to submit

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Arkus online submission system. Submissions sent by email are not accepted. Authors who need technical assistance may contact editor.arkus@gmail.com or +62 819-4958-1088.

Files and metadata

Upload an editable manuscript file in Microsoft Word, OpenDocument, or RTF format. Remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and identifying file properties from the anonymized review file.
Enter complete metadata for every author, including name, email, affiliation, country, and ORCID when available. Provide the title, abstract, keywords, funding, and references accurately.
Upload figures, tables, reporting checklists, data, ethics approval, informed-consent documentation, and supplementary files when applicable.

Manuscript preparation

Use a clear structure appropriate to the article type. Original research should normally include Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations, and References. Use recognized reporting guidelines where relevant, including CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, COREQ, ARRIVE, or other discipline-specific standards.

Required declarations

Authors must disclose authorship contributions, conflicts of interest, funding, ethics approval, informed consent, consent for publication where applicable, data availability, acknowledgements, and any use of artificial-intelligence tools. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, citations, confidentiality, and integrity.

Peer review, license, and fees

Eligible submissions undergo double-anonymous peer review by a minimum of three independent reviewers. Authors retain copyright. Published articles use the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. The article processing charge payable only after acceptance is IDR 1,000,000 for Indonesian authors or USD 100 for international authors. There are no submission, editorial, colour, page, or other publication fees. Waivers and discounts are not available.

References and presentation

Use a consistent scholarly citation style appropriate to the field, provide DOI or stable URLs when available, and ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list. Tables and figures must be numbered, cited, legible, and accompanied by titles or legends. Authors are responsible for permission to reuse third-party material.

Editorial process

Submissions are checked for scope, completeness, originality, ethics, and reporting quality before peer review. Decisions may be accept, revisions required, resubmit for review, or decline. Acceptance is never guaranteed by payment. Only accepted manuscripts receive an APC invoice.
