Copyright and Author Rights

Authors retain copyright in articles published by Arkus.

Author rights

Authors grant Arkus the non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to identify itself as the original publisher. Authors retain publishing rights without restriction, subject to any separate agreement they have lawfully made.

Website copyright and article copyright

The website footer copyright notice covers the Arkus website, layout, branding, and original site content. It does not transfer copyright in journal articles to the journal or publisher. Copyright in each article remains with its authors.

License

Published articles are distributed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 unless a specific article states otherwise. Copyright ownership and license permission are separate: authors own the work, while the license tells readers how it may be reused.

Third-party material

Authors must obtain permission for material not covered by the article license and identify any different rights or credit requirements in the manuscript.
