Inclusion and Indexing
1. Where JACR is listed and indexed
| Service | What it is | Selective | Status of the JACR record |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Scholar | Scholarly search engine; journal profile | No | Profile Journal of Anesthesiology and Clinical Research, with the journal’s articles and the citations they have received. |
| Crossref | DOI registration agency; the persistent identifier for every article | No | DOI prefix 10.37275. Metadata for every article is deposited and can be retrieved from the journal record. |
| Dimensions | Publication and citation database built on DOIs | No | JACR articles and their citation counts are present. Dimensions now asks for a free account before it will display search results. |
| Garuda | Garda Rujukan Digital — the national repository of Indonesian scholarly publications | Yes | National journal record; the metadata of each issue is harvested and displayed. |
| SINTA | Science and Technology Index of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology | Yes | Journal profile carrying the current national accreditation rank, Sinta 5, together with the article and citation record. |
The journal’s serial registration is held separately by the ISSN International Centre under e-ISSN 2745-9497, where the record is marked confirmed. Registration of a title is not indexing; it is listed here only so that the journal’s identity can be confirmed at source. See Ownership and Management Information.
“Selective” means the service decides which journals to admit after an evaluation, rather than harvesting whatever is technically available. The distinction matters: inclusion in a non-selective service shows that the journal’s metadata is well formed and openly available, which is a technical achievement, not an assessment of quality.
2. About the SINTA listing
SINTA is the national index maintained by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. A journal appears there as a consequence of national accreditation through ARJUNA: the SINTA profile displays the accreditation rank that the national assessment has awarded, currently Sinta 5 for JACR.
It is listed here because it is a real and verifiable record of the journal, and because readers and authors in Indonesia look for it. It should not, however, be read as independent evidence of external visibility: SINTA reflects the outcome of the accreditation process rather than the judgement of a third party, and the journal does not present it as an international index.
3. What the journal does to be indexable
Admission to an index is granted by that service, never claimed by the journal. What JACR controls is meeting the conditions every reputable service requires:
- a registered e-ISSN and a stable journal title;
- a registered DOI for every article, with metadata deposited to Crossref and kept resolvable;
- complete structured metadata in English — title, authors with affiliations, abstract, keywords and full reference lists — exposed through an OAI-PMH interface for harvesting;
- documented peer review; see Peer Review Policy;
- a stated and observed publication schedule; see Publication Schedule;
- an explicit licence on every article; see Licensing and Copyright;
- published editorial and ethical policies, indexed at Journal Policies;
- digital preservation arrangements; see Digital Preservation and Self-Archiving;
- a named, contactable editorial office and transparent ownership; see Ownership and Management Information.
4. Claims the journal does not make
Being cited in a database is not being indexed by it. The journal publishes a record of citations to JACR articles at Citation Analysis. That page counts citations received from articles that those databases index. It shows that JACR work is read and used by authors publishing in indexed venues; it is not evidence that JACR is itself indexed there, and is never to be presented as such.
Being listed is not being indexed. A record in a service’s directory, or an application under evaluation, means the journal is visible to that service — not that the service has admitted it. JACR lists a service on this page only once admission has been granted and a reader can confirm it by following the link.
JACR also publishes no impact factor, and does not apply the words “impact factor” to an indicator issued by a service that does not calculate one. Where any quantitative indicator is reported, its source and date are stated with it.
5. Applications and changes
This page is updated only once inclusion has been granted and can be verified by a reader following the link. A pending application is not listed here, and is never described as “indexed”, “in process” or “soon indexed” in the journal’s material. Should a service discontinue its coverage, the entry is removed rather than left standing.
6. Reporting an inaccurate claim
Overstated indexing misleads authors about where their work will be discoverable, and under Indonesian national journal accreditation it is treated as a serious breach. If you find a claim on this website, in a call for papers, in an email, or in any material issued in the journal’s name that you cannot verify in the service named, write to journalanesthesiology@gmail.com with the wording and where you saw it. The journal will correct it and say publicly that it has done so.
