Publication Schedule
Issues per year
Two issues are published each year. Issue 1 covers the January–June period and Issue 2 the July–December period. The journal has published on this schedule without interruption since Volume 1 (2020).
Progressive publication (Issue in Progress)
Accepted articles are not held back until an issue is complete. The current issue is opened as an Issue in Progress, and each article is published online as soon as production is finished, carrying its final DOI, pagination, and citation details. Readers and indexing services therefore receive the version of record at the earliest possible date.
An article published into an Issue in Progress is not modified when the issue is later closed. The issue simply stops accepting further articles and its title drops the Issue in Progress label.
Articles completed after an issue closes
An article is never inserted into an issue that has already been closed. Articles whose production finishes after the current issue closes are published in the next issue. This protects the integrity of the published record and the stability of citations.
Expected timelines
Editorial screening is normally completed within 7–14 days and peer-review reports are ordinarily returned within 2–4 weeks. Production time after acceptance depends on the complexity of the manuscript; authors are kept informed through the journal's editorial management system. Full details of the review timeline are given in the Peer Review Policy.
