Author Guidelines

Prepare the manuscript using the appropriate official Arkus template. Initial submissions are sent by email for editorial assessment; manuscripts that pass screening are registered in OJS for transparent tracking, peer review, revision, and production.

Initial submission channel: email the manuscript and required files to editor.arkus@gmail.com. OJS credentials are issued only after the manuscript passes initial editorial assessment. There is no submission fee.

2. General manuscript preparation

Element Requirement
Template and layout Use the official Arkus DOCX without altering its journal banner, two-column body structure, headings, article-information panel, copyright notice, or license statement.
Title Concise, informative, in sentence case, and free of unnecessary abbreviations. Identify the article type when appropriate.
Authors and affiliations Full names without academic titles; department, faculty, institution, city, and country; identify the corresponding author and provide email and ORCID iD.
Abstract Self-contained and structured as Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Do not include citations, tables, or figures.
Keywords Three to five standardized terms that represent the article’s central concepts.
Main text Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations, and References. Follow the prompts and subsection structure in the selected template.
Tables and figures Number consecutively, provide self-contained titles or captions, define abbreviations and symbols, cite every item in the text, and remove direct identifiers.
References Vancouver style, numbered in first-citation order. Use official journal abbreviations, list the first three authors followed by et al. when applicable, and include DOI or stable URL information.

3. Study-specific requirements

Original research

  • Report design and setting, participants/materials/data sources, ethics, and statistical analysis.
  • Use CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, COREQ, ARRIVE, or another relevant standard.
  • Present results in objective order and reserve interpretation for Discussion.

Case report / case study

  • Follow CARE for clinical reports and include a de-identified timeline.
  • Describe case selection, information sources, assessment, intervention/exposure, outcomes, and follow-up.
  • Written informed consent for publication is mandatory when individuals may be identifiable.

Systematic review / meta-analysis

  • Follow PRISMA 2020 and cite the protocol or registration record.
  • Report eligibility, reproducible search strategies, independent screening/extraction, and risk of bias.
  • State synthesis models, heterogeneity, sensitivity analyses, reporting-bias assessment, and certainty of evidence.

4. Required declarations

Include every heading and write “None” or “Not applicable” when appropriate.

5. Submission package

  • Separate title page with complete author and corresponding-author details.
  • Anonymized manuscript in the correct official DOCX template with identifying metadata removed.
  • Tables, figures, supplementary files, and the applicable reporting checklist.
  • Cover letter confirming originality, exclusive submission, author approval, ethical compliance, and relevant disclosures.

6. Editorial assessment, review, and revision

The editorial office normally completes initial assessment within 1–3 days. Screening considers aims and scope, completeness, originality, and similarity. Manuscripts that pass are registered in OJS and the corresponding author receives account information. Each manuscript then undergoes double-blind assessment by three independent reviewers, normally within 2–4 weeks. Major or minor revisions are normally requested within 1–2 weeks and must include a point-by-point response.

The journal’s approximate acceptance rate is 47%. This descriptive rate does not predict or guarantee an individual outcome.
